Information Technology Career Summary for John Ferrara
About My IT Career
My career started as a client server developer on the personal computer in the mid-1980s using the languages of the times, dBase, Basic, C and MS Assembler. My career changed as newer technologies became popular. I moved to web based architecture in its developing stages. The top languages and frameworks I’ve used were C++/MFC, Java/Servlets/JSP, C#/.NET web pages, forms and MVC. As a full stack developer, I am proficient with front-end, middle-tier and database technologies. Earlier I started service-oriented architecture (SOA) with remote procedure call wrappers, then as SOA evolved to COM/DCOM, SOAP/WCF and REST services and lately microservices architecture. My experience is with all systems life cycle from requirements gathering to implementation and maintenance.
Having worked at many different contracts, companies, industries, technologies, and unique experts, I have seen and learned many different ways of approaching problems which has helped me to provide unique solutions for clients often saving them time, money and giving them a very good architecture and maintainable system.
