Stephen C Balazs Jr., PMP, I work for SBDII LCC on Fort Knox supporting the United States Cadet Command (USACC) as an IT Project Manager. I had the pleasure of hiring Mr. Baptist( I forgot what year) as the lead developer to automate through workflows he programmed to make the job of returning the personal effects of those who were either very seriously wounded or killed in action, during both the IRAQUI and Afghanistan wars. Not only was I always impressed by his work, his ethics, and attention to detail but the Commander of the Joint Personal Effects Depot (JPED) expressed constant praise for his ability to meet very tight deadlines, while working in an environment that dealt with the return of personal effects for all branches of the military . It takes a special person to perform in the manor in which Mr. Baptist met the tasks of ensuring the grieving families of military personnel received an exact inventory of their wounded or deceased family member in the shortest time possible to assist the families in their darkest of times get through the grieving process. Mr. Baptist continued to draw praise from his team members, the joint service members working at the JPED, and the commander COL Kelly Kiker. As our project in the JPED wound down Mr. Baptist and I continued a strong relationship as I have always admired his skills, his ability to work with others, and most of all his drive to meet mission. Should an opportunity present itself where I could use his skills in any of my projects Mr. Baptist will always be first on my list to hire.

Re: John Ferrara
Dear Employer:
John Ferrara has worked for SAIC for five years on several contracts. He joined this contract at the Federal Air Marshal Support Facility in November, 2011 as Senior Developer. John and I worked closely together on a workflow enhancement project.
John has a very high level of technical skills in the arena of software development. John helped choose the technology, interviewed companies and did proof-of-concepts with K2 Blackpearl, C#, ASP.Net and Oracle PL/SQL. He did all of the database architecture and stored procedures as well as all of the data and business tiers for the system. He worked on the business and data services tiers down to the PL/SQL and database schema design. John was the technical lead on the project and managed remote developers.
John would be an asset to any company that hires him.
If you would like additional information about John, please feel free to contact me by phone or email.
Sincerely,
Mari Kehner

To whom it may concern,
I write to recommend John Ferrara as a candidate for a position within your organization. As the project manager in the branch applications department several years ago at Rollins Truck Leasing, I have worked closely with John for five years when he commenced work in our department.
During the 5 years I have worked alongside John he has demonstrated a high level of skill, accuracy and diligence. His organizational skills and attention to detail allowed him to work effectively developing projects both independently and as part of a team. His projects were always delivered in a timely manner and his ability to interpret complex data and present his findings to us was highly regarded. For example, how data got corrupted and how to fix it on a variety of projects and technologies. I believe these attributes and his personal qualities will see him thrive as an employee at your company.
Over the duration of his employment, John showed strong growth and was always willing to upskill via training (such as C++ and Java) and take on extra responsibilities to help in difficult scenarios such solving issues with a proprietary database and other things on a product we bought. He was responsible for training new staff members on things such as the fuel pump controllers written with C++ and barcode readers that he also programed and always went above and beyond expectations in all tasks he undertook.
I have no hesitation in recommending John and believe he will be an asset in any role he chooses to pursue. Should you have any questions or require additional information, don’t hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Ian Anderson

I worked with John Ferrara for several years, developing financial
software together. We first worked together at SunGard to develop an
application to facilitate SWIFT transfer. We developed it in C++
first; later, John led our team in converting the application using
COM, the then new technology from Microsoft. We also worked at First
USA (later bought by JP Morgan Chase & Co.) to convert a legacy credit
card call center application using C++. John was the lead/manager for
the frontend and backend in different phases of development. The
project was completed on time and the application was implemented
successfully across the bank.
As a senior developer and manager, John always kept up with cutting
edge programming languages and platforms, and he helped team members
adapt to the new technology. Before we started coding for a new
project, he always conducted open discussions about the architecture,
data structure of the application, and so on, to make sure everyone
understood the big picture. He always welcomed input from others.
I hold John in high regard and believe he is more than up to the task
in any endeavor or project.

I have worked with John Ferrara at JP Morgan. I found him to be an exceptionally talented and driven team member. John is deeply motivated and never had any issues getting things done right the first time. Everyone in the office seemed to really like John and I had the best time working with him.
I would strongly recommend John to any organization. He is an honest worker and would be a great asset to anyone’s team.
Sincerely,
Robert Morrow

Dear Madam or Sir:
I had the pleasure of working with John Ferrara from 2015 until 2020 at M&T bank. We were both software developers and John’s depth of experience in the field is impressive. I learned a lot from him including multithreading, error handling, and pointers. He has a much deeper knowledge of how the programming languages like C# and Java work on the hardware level than most other developers. I would highly recommend him for your program.
Sincerely,
Nicholas Maccari

To whom it may concern:
I’ve known Mr. John Ferrara since approximately 2007 and was his Project Manager while working on the US Army Joint Personnel Effects Depot (JPED) project in Aberdeen, MD.
When it comes to software development, it is very difficult to find someone with the skills, knowledge and work ethic that John demonstrated at JPED. He always knew when to recommend improvements to software architecture and acted as a coach to the other software developers.
To this day, I would not hesitate to bring John aboard any software development project. He adds a lot of value, provides constructive input, and asks questions to ensure what is being built is meeting the needs of the project.
My best to you,
Terry T. Cavallaro

To Whom It May Concern
I am very pleased to write this letter of recommendation for John Ferrara. John and I worked together at Rollins Truck Leasing and Bank One for about 10 years and found him to be a hard-working professional.
